Olympic hero Michael Phelps has been on location at the London Olympic games 2012. His diet has become a source of conversation in recent times, with reports stating that the champion eats a whopping 12,000 calories a day! Forget champion athlete, how about a champion eater…

The mythical Michael Phelps diet!

Rumor has it that Phelps eats a gargantuan amount of food eat day, and according to the New York Post, his daily diet looks much like this:

Breakfast:

  • Three fried-egg sandwiches loaded with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, fried onions and mayonnaise.
  • Two cups of coffee.
  • One five-egg omelet.
  • One bowl of grits.
  • Three slices of French toast topped with powdered sugar.
  • Three chocolate-chip pancakes.

Lunch:

  • Two large ham and cheese sandwiches with mayo on white bread.

Dinner:

  • One pound of pasta.
  • An entire pizza.
